Here's what our members are saying about us...
"In late February, the local CBS affiliate ran a 3 minute "public interest" (?) story on 2 women that feel they were injured by a chiropractic adjustment. While my patients trust me and what I do to be safe, like most chiropractic patients, they needed help talking to friends and family members about the safety and effectiveness of their choice to continue getting adjusted.
Less than 2 weeks after the TV story, the In Touch Newsletter arrived at my door with its lead article being a review of the Spine article showing no statistical connection between chiropractic adjustments and stroke. I loved it. It is displayed prominently in my office."
Dr. Tim Knight
Arlington, MA
"Voice For Health is so well received - patients ask for them. It is a wonderful publication, entertaining and informative in the right kind of language."
Dr. Gerald Arndt Coshocton, OH
"Thanks for your commitment to the cause and your great Voice For Health publication over the years."
Dr. Robson Timbs Malvern, South Australia
"Continuous patient education is a MUST. The problem is, how do you do this and keep it fresh, interesting, and informative all at the same time? That’s where Dr. Kim Stetzel’s WEEKLY HANDOUTS Program comes in! She’s done the work. She’s created interesting and informative, full color handouts. All you have to do is put them in your patient’s hands and let the handouts speak for themselves! I highly recommend this program for anyone who is interested in growing and maintaining a Lifetime Family Wellness practice."
Dr. George Auger Greenville, SC
"What a great program. With our busy schedule, we didn’t always get time to put out regular patient education. Now, we just print out quality, full color, professional looking handouts on our color printer each week. WOW! thanks for taking the work out of consistent patient education."
Drs. Kevorkian & Giuliano Westwood, MA

| Mager Monthly Motivators |

A lot of people don't realize this, but I used to own and manage THREE clinics in different parts of the country. I know what it takes to build clinics from the ground up. I've always been simply known for my ability to capture new patients at screening events, but I also offer coaching and consulting services. One of the biggest problems that I have seen first-hand in the offices I have been to over the years is a poor front desk staff. I've heard it time and again from doctors on a consistent basis. The front desk person can make or break a clinic on so many levels it's not even funny! I've always said this position is like an air traffic controller; the patients are coming in and leaving in the same way the planes are landing and taking off. The problem comes with improper handling of these patients. The "controller" can cause some near misses, maybe even a huge crash! They can even cause the plane to change airports and avoid you forever! This reminds me of an evaluation that I did in L.A. (Los Angeles not Lower Alabama…HAHA). This Chiropractor's practice had been dropping steadily for 4 years consecutively when they hired my consulting service. Within 20 minutes of talking to staff and evaluating personalities, I knew that I had found the problem. I like to say, "I found the hole in the bucket!" The CA at the front desk was defensive, combative, and negative. This staff person was the subluxation in the spine of the office; she was disallowing proper function while choking off the health, growth and life of the clinic. A PATIENT WILL WALK OUT OF YOUR CLINIC IF THEY DON'T LIKE THE TONE AND ENERGY OF YOUR FRONT DESK STAFF!!! I walked back into the DC's office an hour later to inform her that the front desk CA was the problem. I had suggested that her stats started the downward spiral after 3-6 months after hiring this front desk CA if she was truly the problem. I was wrong! After looking at the stats it was only 2 months after she started!!! She was indeed the subluxation slowly killing the practice. However, the story ends on a sad note. Even though the stats enforced my theory, the DC did not believe me. This example is no different than you showing a patient a scan of how subluxated they are and they look right at it and still don't believe you. So what's the message here? Invest, train and monitor your front desk CA constantly! Remember…the most important first step is to hire the right person. One who is F-A-T! FAT is my acronym for a staff that is Faithful, Available and Teachable. That is the type of staff person you want no matter what their position is in the office. If you have holes in your bucket then call me! I'm the Practice HITBFU (hole in the bucket fixer upper)! Thank you for being a part of my newsletter family! |

| Mager Monthly Motivators - June 9, 2010 |
| By Dave Mager |

I'll be able this month to get back on track with my "Mager Monthy Motivators" or I'll have to start calling them "Mager Maybe this Month Maybe the beginning of next month's or lets play it by ear and wait and see Motivators." That is a little too long, don't you agree? Let me say that once again a packed month of helping clinics grow, teaching students at Clinic Camp to be empowered, and saving a lot of lives from the dangers of drugs and surgery has continued to fulfill my mission in life. One of the biggest and dearest to my heart is my brother Dale in Utah who has never been to a chiropractor until last month and WOW what a difference! It's the same old story "never needed care because he never had a problem that a Chiropractor could help him with!" All of us can agree that our families have always been the hardest people to educate about Chiropractic. I feel that for some strange reason they think this is just our JOB and we want them to buy into it. They do not believe we care about their health and well being. That's the nature of the beast for all of us so the key is NEVER NEVER NEVER GIVE UP as my buddy Winston once said many years ago to the graduating class of Oxford. Let us return to my brother six weeks ago. He had a stroke in his left eye and went blind. If you were to look at my brother, he was a well built college athlete who would have had a great pro football career if he had not blown his knee in the second to last game at Weber State in Utah. On the outside he LOOKED healthy but as one of my posters says the "Outside Flatters but the Inside Matters". I had just told Dale 6 months ago when he came home to Ohio that your range of motion is terrible and it's definitely affecting not only your muscles but all the organs in your body. His response was "I'm just a little stiff but hey I'm going to be 60 in June so it's expected." I tried the approach, "As an avid golfer Dale how would you feel if you could not golf?" As expected the response was that will never happen to me. I know that in general people always feel it's the other people out there in the world that stuff like this happens to but not me. Then the inevitable happened: a serious health crisis "The Stroke in the Eye". I find that these pivotal moments happen in a person's life for a reason. In fact I heard a great quote and that is... "A coincidence is where God remains anonymous." Pretty cool, right? I became like AT&T and hooked him up with an Awesome CHIROPRACTOR Mark Restetarits in Salt City who is a Total Solutions-CLA client. When my brother's first visit was over with Dr Mark and his rock star C.A. Barb were blown away by the scans. The education and most importantly the loving caring attitude, he called me to say I feel like I'm in the right place. Now it's been a month and my brother says he feels better than he ever has for as long as he remembers. Even the golf pro where he golfs told him he looked like he was standing straighter. He asked what he was doing and Dale told him about Chiropractic adjustments. In closing, what is the message here? Keep on Keeping ON! Remember to stay true to who you are! Remember we need to be who we need to be to do what we need to do to have those things we desire in life. |
