The Anti-Vaccine Movement: Reflections of the Past

At the beginning of each New Year, I look back and evaluate the progress of the anti-vaccine movement. I started my research back in 1979 and there were only a few research books available on this topic. Even so, I knew the theory was terribly flawed; health problems for vaccinated children were on the rise. When I began fighting this battle publically, there were only a few of us in the trenches. My first major conference was the First International Public Conference on Vaccines sponsored by the National Vaccine Information Center in 1996. That conference gave me the hope and vision for change. Finally, doctors and researchers were willing to share their concerns about vaccine safety with the public. As each presenter exposed their concerns, I was filled with anger, frustration and deep sadness. I got home and thought about the huge problem we were creating for the children of this country and throughout the world. For weeks, I actually mourned for the babies and families. I was blessed; I have five healthy unvaccinated children. My heart was broken for the vaccine injured. I realized that babies would die and thousands more would be injured before any changes would take place. That sad reality was the motivating factor that drove me to continue.     Over the years, I have personally reached thousands of parents across America and Canada through my speaking events. People are searching for real answers. Literally thousands of parents have told me that they are not vaccinating their children. Many have a vaccine injured child and refuse to vaccinate the siblings. I am impressed with the level of information these parents are able to communicate. In fact, many know more about vaccines than their pediatricians. Parents are searching for healthy alternatives to drugs and vaccines. This new generation of parents has made a very big impression on me and I must say that I believe we really have a chance to bring about quantum changes. This is a fight for freedom and the right to chose     This is a call for people who are strong and willing to stand up against the pressure regardless of the consequences. Many parents share how they feel when family members accuse them of neglect or their doctor scolds and threatens them because they have decided to not vaccinate. I know it is not easy to go against the grain but children's lives and health are in the balance. When vaccine injury affects your child, your life will be forever changed. Ask any parent whose child has autism or other neurological problems if they would risk their child getting chicken pox or measles instead of autism and the answer is, "Yes! If only I knew I had the option".     I believe the H1N1 flu pandemic scare can work to be a great benefit to our cause. More people are now skeptical and distrusting of the government than in years past. The new health care package which threatens our freedom is even more reason to be concerned. We need to capitalize on the fact that the H1N1 flu season was no different than any other flu season and yet thousands of children and pregnant women needlessly got experimental flu vaccines. Our government worked on behalf of the drug manufactures and not for the people. Time is of the essence! The next flu season we may not be as fortunate as they are determined to force these flu vaccines on all Americans. They will try to get rid of the stock pile they now have. My plan of action: reach millions of people with education     People are empowered by education and information; this eliminates fear. I continually research and share the latest information available with my audiences. I will help parents understand the power in infectious illnesses in maturing the immune system for adulthood. I teach the ABC's of vaccine production, ingredients and expose the problems with the whole vaccine theory. I reference top physicians and researchers and help parents make informed vaccine decisions. Some accuse me of being biased! My reply; you are damn right; I am as biased as they come but, I can back up my position with science and truth!     Parents, you must make the most important health-care decision for your babies that will affect them for the rest of their lives. Please do not depend on what everyone else says…you have the intelligence to make this decision providing you get all the right information. I have spent thousands of hours gathering the most important information on this topic, put it on a DVD that you can pop into your DVD player and watch at your convenience! This DVD is fully referenced and I give websites for further investigation. Take all the time necessary to make this decision and know how to defend your position. Your babies are counting on you to do the necessary research and make informed decisions.
